SMS notifications
SMS notifications allow you to automatically send messages to your customers to inform them of the status of their orders.
SMS messages are sent directly by our own service. No special configuration is required to start using this feature.
Functioning
When an event requires sending a notification, the SMS is automatically sent to the phone number registered in the customer's record.
SMS allows you to communicate quickly with your customers, even when they are not checking their emails.
Cost of SMS
To send this type of notification, you need credits, which can be purchased on the License page.
The cost of an SMS depends on two criteria: the length of the message and the destination country.
The longer the message, the higher the number of SMS messages charged. Rates may also vary depending on the recipient's country.
Unsubscribing a customer
A customer can choose to stop receiving SMS messages. To do so, open their customer file and uncheck the "SMS Bill" option.
Once this option is disabled, no SMS notifications will be sent to this customer.
Check that SMS messages have been sent
If a customer is not receiving notifications, check that their phone number is correctly entered in international format in their record and that the "SMS Bill" option is activated.
Best practices
- Check that the customer's phone number is correct, in international format.
- Write short messages to reduce sending costs.
- Only send useful information related to your business.
- Respect the choice of customers who wish to unsubscribe from SMS notifications.
